Birgit Piegeler, UK

Birgit is a native German speaker based in England. She has a degree and teaching qualification from the FU Berlin, a Diploma in Translation (DipTrans from the CIoL), and a Master’s in Interpreting and Translation from the University of Bath, UK. During her studies, she spent time researching bilingual education in Canada. Living in the UK for over 25 years, Birgit has been involved in numerous governmental European projects and has taught German, French, and English to individuals and groups at all levels. She has a keen interest in politics, psychology, and sociology of religion.

Thandi Allen, Germany

Thandi is a native British English speaker based in Germany. In addition to her work for Evident Language, she teaches academic writing and translation at the University of Leipzig. She has a First Class Honours degree in French and German from the University of Exeter, and a Master’s in Interpreting and Translation from the University of Bath. She has a keen interest in politics, sociology, and sociology of religion, and regularly attends courses to further her knowledge in these fields.

David Law, UK

David is a native speaker of British English living in England. Having started in commerce, he qualified as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.  His interest in applied psychology led him to qualify as a Transactional Analyst and as a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). He is also an accredited trainer in NLP. The great love of his life is English literature and he has a particular interest in elegance of expression. A further interest is philosophy and comparative theology in Eastern and Middle Eastern cultures.

Chris Allen, Germany

Chris is a native British English speaker based in Germany. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Physics from the University of Leipzig, and a Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Bath. In addition to his scientific background, he has a keen interest in language, has published a collection of his poetry, and has a long-standing fascination with history, both modern and ancient, and politics.
